On my own as a solo traveler in my mid-50s, routinely thinking twice before booking tours that are rushed or crowded, this Mexico trip turned out to be one of my best travel experiences. Honestly, the fact that they had a single room available without paying an extra supplement was one of the biggest reasons I decided to book; No-brainer! Oaxaca and Mexico City were great. Solo travel with this tour was never awkward. The group dynamic was good, The way it felt was such a comfortable experience of Mexico independently but with the effortlessness of a guided trip.

Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list for the longest time. Honestly, the Vistadome train ride was the best. The ride through the Sacred Valley was absolutely breathtaking, and made it all the more exciting when reaching Machu Picchu. Seeing Machu Picchu in person after hearing it for so many years was a remarkable feeling. Photos do not do justice! Great trip for sure.

I signed up for this tour mainly because I wanted to see Spain and Portugal but Morocco was an added benefit. culture, food, architecture, beautiful sceneries we had it all. Porto was my favorite of all! Wine tasting was a unique experience for sure. 22 days is a long time to see this much, but it never felt like such as each destination had its own character.

While my husband has always been interested in the history of Scotland (whilst I was looking more forward to scenery and whisky), this trip was ideal for also keeping both of us happy. Edinburgh was maybe one of my favorite cities in Europe that I have been to. Visiting the whisky distillery close to Inverness was great and far more fascinating than I imagined, learning about different regional tastes during the tasting. The Highlands were absolutely stunning. Eilean Donan Castle looked like something that you'd see in a film. The thing I like the most about this tour its atmosphere. It was chill, scenic, and very fun without needing to hurry through too much at once.

We both booked this Maldives trip because we needed a proper time away from our busy schedules and endless routines.. and oh it could not have been better,. Maldives was like a beautiful dream.. couldn't get enough of its beauty. Walking the beach most mornings, lunches and watching the sunset every evening.. we didn't know how our days passed. On this trip we also SNORKELED for the first time and it was the best memory for sure!!!!

Doing this trip to Norway slowed me down.. gave me the break I needed after all these years of hardwork LOL. I don’t think I have travelled to any destination in such quantity of photo clicks before!! The fjords, of course, were world class, but I think the biggest surprise for me was just how quiet everything felt. the Flåm railway ride was another thing I absolutely loved about the trip. I also loved that this was not a speedy checklist tour. A lot of time spent taking in the scenery and the journey itself. If you like nature and scenic travel more than a busy city and museums then this really is tough to beat.

My husband and I booked this Spain tour mainly for Barcelona and Seville but Granada ended up being our favorite stop. The Alhambra was honestly stunning in person. We also really enjoyed the little experiences included in the trip. The flamenco evening was a lot of fun. Same with the tapas dinners. Overall it was just a really enjoyable and easy way to experience different parts of Spain without having to organize everything ourselves

I had been wanting to do Japan for years, and this tour included all that I was hoping to see: a modern city, some traditional culture, stunning countryside landscapes and quieter towns with more of an authentic feel. My favorite was Senso-ji Temple and the views of Mount Fuji was all so lovely. Another highlight was that I loved Kyoto as it had some amazing temples. It was nice that the itinerary included Takayama and Shirakawa-go too because it really showed a different face of Japan. Experiencing a ryokan with a hot spring public bath was surely not on the list. I felt that the tour was very well-balanced with guided sightseeing, and organized transportation with enough free time to explore on your own.

I have always been a Nature Documentaries fan and going on safari in Tanzania was one of my biggest wishes for years. It is one thing reading about it but to experience any of that in person, just amazing! No nature documentary can convey the experience of elephants moving silently across the landscape at dawn or lions resting comfortably beneath the trees. I find this trip was so well balanced, It was a rugged, uplifting safari portion and Zanzibar afterwards allowed us to slow down in the perfect way. Ending our last few days on white-sand beaches with warm ocean breezes was surreal after early morning game drives. I also loved learning about much more than just the wildlife in Tanzania. The lodges were lovely and cozy, but not too stuffy, which helped to keep the experience in a more natural and inviting atmosphere. But for us this was not only a holiday, it felt like another world for 14 days

I kind of spontaneously planned this trip to Iceland after seeing some stunning photos of the Northern Lights and it became one of my most memorable trips ever. In February, I traveled with my sister and Iceland was so cold yet felt more thrilling than a destination we had ever been to before. The sheer drama of the scenery on a daily basis was what impressed the most. Everywhere you turned there were waterfalls that came out of nowhere, ceaseless glaciers marching across the landscape, strange black sand beaches. After dinner one night, driving back from the restaurant, our guide suddenly slammed to a halt in his seat because Northern Lights had appeared above us. The sight of the sky slowly changing green in total silence will stay with me forever. And I liked this was a small group tour as well. It was a lot more intimate and casual than any bus tours that we have taken in the past. We could take our time to be photo happy, ask questions, and just enjoy the scenery at a reasonable pace. While Iceland is not the traditional sun-drenched island retreat, and that's why it was so unforgettable! From start to finish, it felt adventurous, calming and truly special.

European history has always fascinated me, so this Central Europe trip stood out to me right away. The connection was initially surprising, what really surprised me was how different each city felt even being so close. Prague was romantic and almost like something out of a storybook, Vienna exuded this chic old world edge, and I totally underestimated Budapest.. beautiful East European buzz on the river at night. The group was lovely, the pace manageable and the guides added so much context the cities never just felt like venues through which we were walking. My favorite part was listening to the stories about Prague castle and walking in the old streets around Charles Bridge at dawn before all the tourists arrived. This tour allowed me to have a taste of history, culture and nice architecture but not very rushed. Overall it was very entertaining, like it felt well thought out.

The Switzerland and the Alps tour we took shortly after our retirement became one of the most relaxing and beautiful trips in years for my husband and me. Postcard like forests, lakes so beautiful I dont have any words to explain, old towns visited within a day, and snow-covered mountains, just wow! This tour delivered it all, and we loved the myriad experiences here. Cruising across stunning lakes one morning and then climbing up into the Alps with panoramic glacier views literally surrounding us. For us the best thing we saw was Glacier 3000 and we also visited Chillon Castle just on the lake. I also enjoyed the visit to the chocolate factory far more than I imagined I would! While there was a lot planned, it never felt rushed and traveling on the coach between Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria was very comfortable. A tour where you could just enjoy the scenery and let someone else take care of the details.

It was a trip I booked after years of saying we’d go ‘someday in the future to Southeast Asia', and Im so glad I have finally took this one. Perhaps the most surprising was how each place felt so different, one day we were drinking coffee next to peaceful rivers in Vietnam and days later watching longtail boats float on turquoise waters in Thailand. This trip had a few scenes that really stuck with me. Holidays to Ha Long Bay were surreal waking up surrounded by misty limestone cliffs and evenings in Thailand relaxed, a happy place, music, ocean breeze and amazing food at every corner. One of my favorite all along these journeys was how welcoming to foreigners the locals always were. In my late 50s, I did indeed like that the tour never felt frantic or overdone. The trips were a nice mix of structured activities and unstructured time to do things like sit, wander or soak up the atmosphere. Less, for it felt not as if simply checking items off a list, but rather genuinely experiencing each destination.

Over the years, my wife and I have travelled quite a lot but this particular India journey was something of its own league. Just everywhere you looked, there was color, energy, history and culture everywhere you went. Delhi was interesting with beautiful historic buildings and modern busy streets, and one vision of the sun rising over the Taj Mahal is every bit as magic as you think it will be. Ranthambore National Park was definitely one the many highlights for me. As a wildlife fan, it was thrilling to be out on early morning safaris in search of tiger (we saw one asleep beneath the trees). Jaipur too was beautiful with all its intricate architectural work in and around Amer Fort area and Palace areas. The most I liked is that it was an immersive tour without being exhaustive. The guides, who picked us up every day and dropped us off at the end of each one, were knowledgeable; the hotels where we stayed were comfortable; everything just seemed to go through well and thus there was no stress associated with traveling deeper into India than I ever imagined.

My sixty year old daughter persuaded me to take this trip to Europe for my birthday and it turned out to be one of our most memorable together. I always wanted to go to Italy and Paris, but it was easy with Indus as everything is planned: hotels all the bookings, trains, tours, transfers. I really enjoyed sitting at a cafe in Florence watching the world go by, boat rides through the canals of Venice and more time around Lake Como (where we spent one evening that provided such serene relief from the hectic cities). The Seine cruise at night in the stunning Paris was the best finale. The pace of the tour was relaxed and these additional free time periods were beneficial too. All in all fun one!

To be fair, our Mystical Bhutan tour was the most serene and insightful trip my husband and I have taken in a really long time. Our children are grown and my husband and I were both looking for something more than the traditional sight-seeing vacation. Be it the scenic monasteries atop hills or the tranquil valleys, everything was beautiful yet unhurried every single day. The Tiger's Nest hike was exhausting, but also incredibly satisfying, and our guide ensured that everyone went at their own speed. The hotels were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the views were nothing short of amazing. Experiencing the true genuineness and calm energy of Bhutan was truly something that came from this tour.

My experience with Indus Travels on the Australia Explorer tour was exceptional, primarily because they managed the complex logistics of the Outback and the ""Top End"" with seamless precision. From the sunrise over Uluru to the wildlife cruises in Kakadu National Park, the itinerary was expertly curated to balance iconic landmarks with deep cultural insights, all while maintaining the high value-for-money reputation Indus is known for. The small group size allowed for a more intimate connection with the local guides, and though the pace is brisk to cover such vast distances, the quality of the accommodations and the stress-free airport transfers made the entire 12-day journey feel like a premium, bucket-list adventure.

Our winter trip with Indus Travels on the Iceland Circle tour was a masterclass in logistics and value. Seeing the entire Ring Road in winter conditions can be daunting to plan, but Indus made it effortless, from the seamless airport transfers in Reykjavik to the perfectly timed stops at the Diamond Beach and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. What really stood out was the balance of the itinerary; we hit all the 'Golden Circle' icons like Gullfoss and Geysir, but also reached the more remote Eastfjords and the volcanic landscapes of Lake Mývatn, which felt much more private in the off-season. The small group size meant we could pivot quickly when the Northern Lights appeared, and our guide’s local knowledge of road conditions and hidden gems made us feel safe throughout the snowy journey. For anyone looking for a high-impact, stress-free way to see the full 'Land of Fire and Ice' without the premium price tag of other operators, this tour is a fantastic choice.

Booking the Alpine Panorama Rail Tour with Indus Travels was the perfect way to experience the best of Central Europe without the stress of driving or navigating complex train schedules. The 11-day itinerary is brilliantly structured, taking you from the fashion streets of Milan to the stunning landscapes of Zurich, Innsbruck, and Munich. I was particularly impressed by the seamless logistics; the 2nd class high-speed rail tickets and hotel transfers were all perfectly coordinated. Highlights like the Lake Como cruise and the guided walking tour of Innsbruck’s imperial heritage really elevated the experience. For the price point, the value is unbeatable—you get centrally located accommodations and expert local guides who bring the history of the Alps to life. If you want a relaxed, scenic journey through four countries with all the heavy lifting handled for you, this Indus tour is a fantastic choice.

Booking the Splendors of India tour with Indus Travels was an incredible way to experience the diversity of North India without any of the typical planning stress. This 15-day itinerary covers all the 'must-sees' with impressive efficiency, from the bustling rickshaw rides in Old Delhi to the breathtaking sunrise at the Taj Mahal. I was particularly impressed by the balance of culture and nature; the tiger safaris in Ranthambore National Park provided a thrilling change of pace from the architectural wonders of Jaipur's Amber Fort. The logistics, including the internal flight from Udaipur to Mumbai, were handled with the precision Indus is known for. With centrally located hotels and highly knowledgeable local guides, this tour offers unbeatable value for anyone wanting a comprehensive and seamless introduction to India’s royal heritage.

While many operators only offer rigid bus tours, Indus Travels has perfected the 'supported independence' model with their Classic Scotland Self-Drive. They provided a logical, high-impact loop that took us from the medieval charm of Edinburgh deep into the dramatic peaks of Glencoe and out to the Isle of Skye without a single hitch in the bookings. The accommodations were consistently well-located, saving us hours of research, and having the car rental pre-arranged meant we could bypass the usual logistical stress at the airport. It’s rare to find a package that offers this much freedom while still feeling like you have a professional safety net behind you. For the price, the quality of the itinerary and the reliability of the local support are simply unmatched.
